Trauma can often be difficult to work with and can arise unexpectedly within another piece of work.
This workshop will look at how to work with a client when they are traumatised. There are useful guidelines including how to keep the professional safe when working with trauma to minimise the possibility of vicarious secondary trauma.
This workshop will be of value to all professionals who are likely to be in contact with clients or services users who have been traumatised.
In this workshop you will gain an insight into the victims perspective of CSA/CSE from a neuroscience and behaviour perspective, and learn how to recognise and work with the victims from front-line work through to practitioner-based interventions.
