Terms of Reference
The remit for the Accreditation and Standards Sub Committee is to attend to the accreditation process, and to provide structure and support for those wishing to advance to accreditation.
Responsibilities:
To monitor and oversee the process of the Accreditation process from graduation to the final panel with regards to MIP registration of the successful candidate.
To feedback to the Quality & Ethics Committee and the MIP Training Co-ordinator any thoughts and observations with regards to the accreditation process for UKCP registration.
To examine and review on an ongoing basis the Accreditation Handbook.
The Sub Committee will be responsible for dialoguing with the webmaster of necessary changes to documentation with regards to the accreditation process.
The Sub Committee members will familiarise themselves with the entire accreditation process from graduation to final MIP registering of successful candidate to UKCP recognition.
The Chair of the Sub Committee will need to submit a small annual report for the MIP AGM.
Membership:
The membership of this Sub Committee is a minimum of 3 members and maximum 5 members.
The membership should be drawn from graduates, trainers and senior members of MIP.
The Chair should be in place no longer than 3 years and the MIP AGM will then elect a new chair.
There should be a quorum of at least 2 members.
A consensus decision-making process will normally be followed.
Timeframe:
The Sub Committee should meet at least twice a year.
Duration of the Sub Committee will be determined by the committee, e.g. 1 to 2 hours.
The Sub Committee may meet online or at MIP, whichever medium is suitable for the group.
