Update Jan 2021:We are still open for therapy. However, due to the current lockdown, all Initial Assessments will be conducted online. However, we offer therapy both Online and Face to Face.
To book Psychotherapy sessions at the Institute, you will need first of all to have a initial Assessment, to work out who is the best Psychotherapist for you, with regards to your specific needs and wants.
The Psychotherapy assessment takes half an hour and is with Bob Cooke , who is the founder of the Manchester Institute, as well as a Psychotherapist working from MIP.
The assessment takes half an hour and is a confidential service, as is the continuing Therapy. Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. Whilst they normally take place at the Institute, currently during the covid-19 situation some therapists are conducting therapy sessions online.
At the Institute we have over 20 qualified Psychotherapists and Councillors who work with a variety of issues such as Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Childhood issues, Relationship issues, Eating Disorders, Sexual Abuse, Self-esteem and Confidence issues ,etc.
(The initial assessment takes place at the Institute, and needs to be between 9 AM and 4 PM- Monday to Friday. After this your therapy sessions can be from 8 o’clock in the morning to 9 o’clock at night. We are open weekdays 9am till 9:30pm – and some of the Psychotherapists work also on Saturday to approximately 5pm.)
The Psychotherapy and Counselling services are in the strictest of confidentiality and, therefore, we create a secure and safe setting for the therapeutic assessment, and the subsequent therapy and counselling.
Please email the Institute at firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire about booking an Initial Assessment and we will respond to you as soon as possible.
