It is an honour and a great pleasure to be working at the Manchester Institute of Psychotherapy, and being able to meet those who are seeking support through some of life’s problems.
I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, registered with the UKCP as well as the British Psychological Society. I am a qualified teacher, too. I have spent much of my professional life as a teacher working with young people, and as a trainer with workers in the public services.
As a therapist, my particular interests are beginning, adapting and ending. I help with dealing the stresses of a new job, a new place or changed circumstances, moving from one ‘culture’ to another (country, college, work or family), perhaps dealing with anxiety or strong emotions in current life or from the past, or helping you take control of your own life. Bereavement and loss, too.
I bring respect and warmth into the room at the Manchester Institute of Psychotherapy.
